Initial Consultation
We provide a free no obligation initial consultation for our private client work including, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorneys and Conveyancing both residential and commercial. All our Personal Injury and Medical Negligence matters are all subject to a free no obligation initial consultation.
Other areas of law are charged at £100 plus VAT for up to 45 minutes of advice, (paperwork for consideration must be capable of being read within 20 minutes so advice can be provided.) We will not provide written advice unless asked to do so and an additional charge will be applied.
This can be by telephone, video, email or face to face. Payment is at time of booking appointment. If we are then instructed to act further the £100 +VAT will then be refunded as a money on account sum.
This does not apply to mediation. Mediation will always attract the MIAMS fee which is payable on booking appointments.
Home visits can be available but may incur an additional charge which can be discussed upon the appointment being made.

We may request that you complete an initial information form before the meeting.
We will give you relevant information and assistance including, so far as possible, timescales, likely costs and if we are unable to assist further, we will direct you to the best possible solution. including confirming what further steps we should take if any and give you the opportunity to reflect upon our information us as you wish. There is no obligation to give any further instructions.
We do not confirm the information in writing following the initial consultation unless you instruct us to represent you, unless you request us to do so for a fee, at which we would need to open a file on your behalf, take your identity evidence and send you an advice letter and terms of business letter etc, therefore we would recommend that you bring any correspondence with you that you have received and/or court papers or other relevant documentation, including your passport/driving license and/or evidence of your address within the last three months such as utility bills, bank statements etc. etc., in case you wish to instruct us
