Reasonable Legal Fees

Faith Williams Law prides its self on its reasonable legal fees on a fixed fee basis with no hidden costs or nasty surprises.

Hourly Rates

The hourly rates start from £150.00 per hour plus VAT for administrative staff, up to £300.00 per hour plus VAT for senior members of the team on privately paying matters that are not under a Conditional Fee Agreement or similar arrangement. A full estimate of costs will be provided at the first appointment.

First appointment on all hourly rate matters are charged at £150.00 plus VAT (such fee being credited to your account if you choose to instruct us fully in your matter, with your first appointment then becoming free) [this needs to be changed where ever the first appointment is quoted on the website to reflect it is now £150.00plus vat and not £100.00 plus vat].

Family Mediation is charged at £150.00 plus VAT for the MIAMS appointment, this is per party. Continuing mediation starts at £150.00 per hour plus VAT per party.

Civil Mediation is charged at 1/2day rate of £750.00 plus VAT split between the parties. £1,250.00 plus VAT for a full day (9.30am to 5pm) plus VAT split between the parties. All additional hours are charged at £275.00 per hour plus VAT. A 5% discount is applied to civil mediation matters that are undertaken through a cloud/video platform.

All other matters can be quoted upon request including Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney’s, probate, and other services.

Legal Fees Breakdown

Please note that any work undertaken on an hourly rate is charged in units, where 1 unit is 1/10th of an hour (6 minutes.)

All calls, emails and letters to and from your legal representative are chargeable as part of your legal case as this takes the time of your legal representative.

For work on a fixed legal fees basis, a fixed fee payment is paid for the solicitors time which includes letters, calls and emails.

Additional legal fees maybe incurred on fixed fee work, but this is only in relation to unavoidable fees such as court fees or payments to regulatory bodies such as the Land Registry or bank charges.

These charges will be added to an invoice as a disbursement. No additional legal fees will be added by Faith Williams Law Solicitors in relation to our legal services.
